A new edition in six volumes, octavo. The work features illustrations with copper plates. Bound in contemporary tree calf, gilt-tooled spines with green morocco labels, and marbled boards.
Bindings show moderate shelf wear, rubbing to extremities, and some minor loss. Spines remain largely intact with bright gilt. Internally, scattered foxing and toning throughout, with early ownership inscriptions and marginal notes to front endpapers and title page. Overall solid.
