English miniature dictionary, circa 1900, containing approximately 18,000 words. 64mo format. Bound in contemporary limp brown calf with an integrated wrap-around flap and metal snap fastener. Gilt-stamped title to the interior of the flap. Text block featuring red stained edges and approximately 770+ pages of definitions in a minute serif typeface.
Heavy rubbing and surface loss to leather case. Snap fastener functional but showing oxidation. Tearing to leather around the female snap component. Text block edges vibrant; internal pages show light toning and occasional thumbing.
